Colorado may force new homes in wildfire-prone areas to adhere to a state building code

My upcoming wildfire resiliency code board bill was also in the news. The Colorado Sun spoke to me and several fire chiefs championing the measure. People throughout the state, and particularly fire professionals, are largely supportive of this important measure to try to help protect people and property. Evergreen is one of the areas with the highest wildfire risk profile in the state. And as the Marshall fire demonstrated, front range communities are no longer safe from the threat of wildfire.
