For Jefferson County Commissioner
I’ve lived and worked in this county for most of my life, and I’m excited about the opportunity to work even more closely with the community I love. Jeffco has afforded me so much – a good education for me and my children, and the opportunity to own a home, start a business and experience our beautiful open spaces. I want everyone living here to be supported in creating a life they love in a community that sustains them.
During the last eight years, I have served as a state legislator representing much of Jeffco. I’ve learned how government works and how to get things done. I’ve developed productive relationships with people across the spectrum of state and local government that will serve me well as your Jefferson County Commissioner. While my ideals will always guide my work, being a commissioner is really about listening to people, building a good team, collaborating and getting things done. Between my 25+ years running a communications firm and my work representing Jeffco at the Capitol, I have demonstrated skills in all of these areas.
During my years in the legislature, I’ve worked closely with our Jeffco commissioners on issues that are important to this community, including:

Furthering wildfire mitigation and suppression efforts and resources

Addressing climate change and sustainability

Protecting our public lands and water supply

Bolstering mental and behavioral health

Working on affordability, transparency and consumer protections

Creating protections and support for small businesses
I am ready to get to work on day one to navigate our challenges and help manage the 4th most populous county in Colorado. We are privileged to live here, and I am privileged to serve this community. I hope you will allow me to continue this service as your county commissioner.

I was born in Colorado and have a deep knowledge and love for our state. Jefferson County is my longtime home and is where I raised my family, started my business and began my career as an elected official. For the past eight years, I have worked tirelessly to ensure every Jeffco family has the support and resources they need to thrive. Now, I’m ready to build on the progress we’ve made and continue making a difference as a County Commissioner. Together, we can build a healthier, safer, and more resilient Jeffco for all.
